Lakai x Esow Owen VLK Skate Shoes - Black/White Suede
Esow, born in Tokyo, got into skateboarding at the age of 13. At 17, he transplanted to the US where he discovered graffiti. He started creating his original graffiti style, influenced by traditional Japanese “Edo chic” culture, which is also the origin of his own roots. He is now based in Asakusa, Downtown Tokyo and has become a world renowned graffiti artist outside of just Japan. His artwork mediums are diverse and include paper, mural, wood and solid figures. As his reputation grew worldwide, he worked for many brands and did projects for many companies. He is also known as a founding member of “T19”, a legendary Japanese skate team and one of the crew members of “Dyezu Jikken”, an iconic and influential art gallery of graffiti history in Japan.
The Owen sets out to be the most skate-friendly slip-on in the business, but easily transcends strictly skateboarding. The defining feature of the updated OWEN is Lakai's VLK performance sole. A classic take on modern vulcanisation. The ultra-fitted, all suede upper is ideal for the rigours of every day use and the crafted midsole with lux-lite insole provide extreme cushion and comfort. Details include nylon webbed hit at tongue and heel, cover stitched toe panel highlight and embroidered flare at rear heel. Slip into satisfaction!
