Earlier this month Skateboard Cafe hosted a nostalgic jam at the legendary Bristolian skate spot, College Green.
Cafe filmer Rich Smith writes: “Good times wasted having good times” would sum up our time at College Green over the years. Although there’s technically not much there to skate (flat ground and a few curbs) it always has a buzz to it because of where it’s located, just 2 minutes from Lloyds in the city centre. In the Summer time people would often bring a block down to The Green… We’d end up skating it, hanging out with mates, drinking beers never wanting the sun to go down. This jam was a nostalgic throwback for the scene, a celebration of the magical vortex of The Green to be shared with the next generation. Thank you to everyone who came along! Let’s do it again next year :)
Since the addition of the "Slab" to Dean Lane skatepark and the rebuilt centre "Plaza" the Green has replaced as the main hang out/ chill skate spot in town. It was probably the first time in 10 years that many people came together to skate this historic skate spot again.
